About MJ Millinery
Hats are my thing. I love them. I love wearing them, looking at them; they intrigue me.
This is where and how my journey started.
After 24 years in education, a job I loved, I decided to follow my dream an see if I could make a hat. After two day courses with Judy Bentinck, a couturier milliner in London, my passion and destiny were set.
Lockdown allowed me to spend time honing my skills by completing an online course with the MESA college in San Diego, two online courses with the Hat Academy in Australia, two more courses with Judy and finally becoming a member of the Millinery Academy established by Katherine Elizabeth, a milliner in London.
Millinery made with love
My aim is to bring the world of bespoke, unique millinery to those, who maybe would not have considered it before. The chance to own a one of a kind creation. It may be classic and elegant or something more individual and quirky to suit your personality or the even. So if you’re looking for a wedding hat, want to make a statement at Ascot or are simply searching for a hat in which to make a statement there will be a hat for you.
